Compared to traditional vehicles, motorcycle riders are generally exposed to a significantly greater danger on the road. Even the slightest impact with a car could result in severe injuries and even death, since motorcycle riders are not protected with seat belts, metal frames, or airbags. When a car hits the back of a motorcycle, it usually lifts the back wheel in the air and flips the bike and the motorcyclist forward onto the road.
